CONCEPTION
STORYTELLING
CONTENT
Creative collaboration is the outcome of every successful project. It is paramount to have a clear vision throughout conception. This is the essence of our plan of action. Storytelling is crucial to produce original content. Here we put special thought into details.
PRE-PRODUCTION
CREATIVE IMPLEMENTATION
TECHNICAL REALIZATION
POST-PRODUCTION
In the course of pre-production, the creative turns into the technical shaping back and forth, prepping, implementing for a sleek technical realisation. When production rolls, the inner artist and producer take center stage, to secure successful post-production.
Berlin / Potsdam - Powerful start to the new funding year: In its first session, the New Media Funding supported 13 projects with 1,078,000 euros. Including many games, VR experiences and series with socially relevant topics, various stories and accessible content. The highest funding goes to "The Wagadu Chronicles" by Twin Drums, other projects are implemented by Maschinen-Mensch, Jo-Mei Games, Honig Studios, Turbo-Culture and Producers at Work.
Games
If the entire arable land on earth were shared among all people, each of us would have 0.7 hectares, the size of a soccer field. "Hectarium" is a mobile game based on real data in which the players cultivate their 0.7 hectares with the help of farmers - and in the best case survive. Tony Petersen Film will receive a production grant of 80,000 euros for the German-Canadian co-production, which is already being funded.
If we gave all human beings their equal share of agricultural land on Earth, meaning the land currently used for crops and animal production, we would each have 0.7 hectares, the size of a soccer field. So, would this be enough to feed ourselves properly while preserving the soil for generations to come? This experiment is the starting point to allow consumers to realize the impact of our individual and collective “foodprint” while becoming more conscious of our dependency on small farmers for our own subsistence and the long‐term sustainability of the planet.
Hectarium is an interactive documentary project to allow users to learn and play with their own imagined share of land while discovering what farmers from around the world propose as best practices to use farmland in a productive and sustainable way. The experience will combine available global data to visualize our individual impact and encourage users to explore a wide range of possibilites from a collection of videos from different types of farmers and experts from North and South of the planet.
